  1. Rating: 4.00/5 - 2 Votes
    The Blacklist

    Genre: Crime, Drama

    First Aired: 2013-09-23

Overview: Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, surrenders in person at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He claims that he and the FBI have the same interests: bringing down dangerous criminals and terrorists. In the last two decades, he's made a list of criminals and terrorists that matter the most but the FBI cannot find because it does not know they exist. Reddington calls this "The Blacklist". Reddington will co-operate, but insists that he will speak only to Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler.

Just started watching this, Spader is great perfectly cast IMO, not too keen on Megan Boone yet as the female lead Liz but I've only watched the first two episodes. So far I've liked it for the most part, but I think it's a little formulaic.
  2. I really enjoyed watching this. I won't spoil any of the story for you :)

It reminded me of Hannibal/Silence Of The Lambs with a little of The Following added. If you hurry up and watch it all you'll be set for the new series which starts in September.

  3. The first few episodes are a bit run of the mill but half way through the action really cranks up a gear. Definitely worth watching.
  4. Yes I'll stick with it, I've watched the first 4 episodes now :)
  5. The Blacklist
    Anslo Garrick: Part 2
    Season: 1
    Episode: 10
    Air Date: 2013-12-02

GUEST STARS: Ritchie Coster, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Emily Tremaine, Susan Blommaert, Jane Alexander, Alan Alda, Graeme Malcolm
Liz infiltrates the blacksite and disarms the signal jammers to call in backup but runs into trouble along the way. The fate of Ressler hangs in the balance as Red tries to bargain with Anslo Garrick. Meanwhile, Tom becomes increasingly worried about Liz’ situation and the fate of Red is unknown.

Just watch this episode, the second part of a two parter. Pretty brutal in places. I think there are a whole lot more twists to come during this season
  6. I'm going on to episode 15 next, probably watch it tomorrow.

This has really grown on me - I was pretty dubious at the start but I'm liking the story much more now, the actual "blacklist" crimes and criminals are great...I wonder how many may be based on real life crimes?!

Still no idea what the connection is between Red and Lizzie (if there is one at all) and what part Tom plays in everything - I'm thinking he may appear on the blacklist before too long
  7. Watched up to Ep19 now - still no further forward.....except I now know Tom is a baddie! Only 4 episodes left
  8. Finished it today. Still confused but really enjoyed it.

I still think that Red is Lizzie's father, even though he said her father died in the fire and that he never lies to her - I'm thinking that the "good" Red died in that fire. After the fire Red became the criminal mastermind that he is now - but I could be way off the mark with that assumption.

It all starts again on 22nd September! :D
  9. The story of Liz Keen. If you've not watched The Blacklist but are planning to then it is probably better that you don't view this video ;)

  10. Season 2 has just started in America. Looking forward to watching this and seeing how it plays out. This show really grew on me about halfway through the first season. :)
