  1. Announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2015 presentation, Ghost Recon: Wildlands looks like a multiplayer third-person action romp with huge maps and loads of mayhem.

    First look at gameplay.

No idea who is developing – probably Ubisoft Montreal, since it almost always is – or when it’ll launch. It’s coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

  2. Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, the latest in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is the first military shooter set in a open-world, entirely playable in single-player or up to four-player co-op.

Sent behind enemy lines, the Ghosts will have to cripple the Santa Blanca cartel’s operation, breaking alliances between the drug lords and the corrupt government, and saving the Bolivian population from the cruelty of El Sueño, Santa Blanca’s ruthless leader. To do so, players will have total freedom of choice to complete missions how they choose and watch as the world reacts to their actions.

“As part of the Tom Clancy franchise, authenticity is one of the key pillars which will bring the Wildlands to life in our latest instalment in the franchise,” said Eric Couzian, Creative Director on Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. “Our goal has been to build the Ghosts as credible Spec Ops, so players have a range of options in facing not only the deadly cartels, but also the roughness of the multifaceted Bolivian landscape. Ghosts are survivors and hunters, they can blend in all sorts of environments, leaving no trace except in the heads of their terrified enemies. We want players to feel this power.”

Fans who pre-order the game will also receive "The Peruvian Connection", a bonus mission in which they will embark on a perilous journey through the high mountains of Bolivia to break the alliance between the Santa Blanca and the Peruvian Cartels.

  3. Game developer and publisher Ubisoft reveals five different Special Editions for its forthcoming military shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

Although Ubisoft have yet to even reveal an official release date for the forthcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, the company have already put out details regarding the open world tactical shooter’s five separate special editions, making for seven different retail versions in total. The divulgence of the unique versions of the game occurred recently in conjunction Ubisoft’s public issuing of the title’s “We Are Ghosts” trailer.

Those itching to get their hands on lots of goodies and pre-order bonuses will definitely jump at the chance to nab one of the Special Editions for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, but disclosing a large variety of options for collector’s versions at this point in time could give many fans pause. For instance, a lot of folks might consider it to be absolute overkill for such a huge swathe of Special Editions for the game to be in production when an extremely limited amount of actual information about the title’s gameplay exists.

As seen in the stills below, however, the Ghost Recon: Wildlands will offer fans a Deluxe Edition, a Gold Edition, a version with a Calavera Collector’s Case , the Fallen Angel Edition, and the Limited Edition, each of which contains its own unique physical items and access to pieces of in-game content. Plus, those who pre-order the game will receive “The Peruvian Connection” mission, which sends them high into the mountains of Bolivia, as would-be Ghosts attempt to sever the alliance between the Santa Blanca and Peruvian Cartels.

Beyond the Special Editions for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Ubisoft has promised to cover more aspects about the game proper at E3 2016. Hopefully, the company will be able to provide fans with plenty of details that would justify its creation of so many Special Editions, but since the event isn’t going to occur until next month, we all will have to just sit tight and wait to find out what developers have in store for the shooter.
  4. Some gameplay from E3 2016

I'm probably nit picking here but that AI seemed a bit poor. Three AI in the room and they run away instead opening fire, only to hide beside an open door, allow the player to walk up and knock him out. And the pickup they are chasing seems very tanky. Tires not being blown out. Windows not taking much damage.

Not sold on this one yet.
  5. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands offering a glimpse at character and weapon customisation available in the open-world co-op shooter.

A modular sniper rifle demonstrates interchangeable components to forge a unique weapon, and there’s a brief look at the gear available to spruce up outfits. You’ve got to look your best chasing drug cartels in Bolivia.

  6. Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Ghost Recon Wildlands that explores taking your enemies down like a shadow from the darkness. Stealth mode!

In this new walkthrough demo, the Ghosts wait for the cover of night in order to take a stealthy approach as they seek to hunt down El Pozolero (“The Stewmaker”), in this completely new take on a mission first showcased at E3 2016.

  7. Ubisoft has said during its latest financial call that there will be multiple betas for Ghost Recon Wildlands, with the first open beta expected to drop in Q1 2017.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, "It can be a revolutionary game, and to compare with The Division last year, it’s in the same trend actually.

“We expect in the next quarter to do some open betas and closed betas that will help a lot [for] players to actually know what the game is and what it can become.”
  8. Are you ready to try and take down the Santa Blanca Cartel? Then sign up for your chance to play the Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta.

Beta signs ups are being taken on the game's official website. A date was not provided.

As previously reported, there will be multiple Ghost Recon: Wildlands betas so if you aren't picked for the first one, don't fret.

The game is an open world affair with some nice progression options, plenty of customization options, and looks like it could be a rather fun title to play with three of your friends.
  9. Ghost Recon: Wildlands reportedly contains one of the largest open worlds that Ubisoft has ever created. Now, we have a better idea of how big the world is.

The game's map is divided into 21 regions, each of which has its own unique features like towns, waterways, and people. Additionally, there are 11 unique biomes, containing their own climates and animals.

"We have a full agenda for the NPCs, so they really live in the world," technical art director Benoit Martinez said. "They go to bed at night. They get up. They go to work. Whether or not you interact with them or not, they live their own life."

Wildlands is set in Bolivia. Set in the near future ("a few years from now" is the official word), the game seems players going behind enemy lines to take down a drug cartel. The game is playable solo or with up to three others in four-player co-op. Another major element of Wildlands is its openendedness. "Players will have a total freedom of choice to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions," Ubisoft said.
